'Peacemaker' Season 2, Episode 6 Will Have Big Surprises, and Likely, Shocking 'Superman' Connections

At the end of Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 5, "Back to the Suture," our titular assassin had packed up and decided to live, permanently, in the newly found alternate dimension in which his father and brother are alive. But, is that new dimension everything it's cracked up to be?

In the final moments of Episode 5, Adebayo (Danielle Brooks), Harcourt (Jennifer Holland), Adrian (Freddy Stroma), and Economos ( Steve Agee) are headed into the parallel dimension, to, they think, rescue Chris from...well, we don't know. Episode 6 of Peacemaker Season 2 — along with Episodes 7 and 8 — has been kept under close wraps, so whatever happens next is sure to be big. Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 6 release date

The sixth episode of Peacemaker Season 2 is reportedly titled "Ignorance Is Chris," and is written and directed by showrunner, creator, and DC Studios boss James Gunn. It will hit HBO Max on Thursday, September 25, 2025. This comes just after the new Superman film started streaming on HBO Max on Friday, September 19.

Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 6 will start streaming at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday on HBO Max. This means spoilers will start hitting the internet almost immediately that night.

In the final moments of Episode 5, in the alternate dimension, Peacemaker returns from seemingly defeating a Kaiju in Metropolis. In Superman, this exact same monster was defeated by the Justice Gang and Superman himself. Do those characters not exist in this alternate dimension? Is there a connection between this and the events of Superman?

The answer is almost certainly a big YES. James Gunn has made it clear that Superman's early streaming date was all because he wanted audiences to connect the events in that movie with Peacemaker Season 2. So, while that may have seemed like a fun Easter egg in Episode 5, it's reasonable to assume that Episode 6 will make the connections between this show and Superman even clearer.

On top of all of this, Steve Agee, who plays Economos,  has said the last three episodes of Peacemaker Season 2 are like "a whole new season," hinting that big twists and turns should be very much expected.

So, get ready. The most exciting and surprisingly clever TV show of the moment is about to go off the rails.
