Peacock has been quietly building an impressive roster of TV shows and movies, with plenty to offer subscribers eager to get their binge on. Even better, the platform is adding new titles every month, and November is no exception. Highlights include a returning dark comedy, a blockbuster disaster movie, and an assassin show you don’t want to miss.
An adaptation of Frederick Forsyth’s novel of the same name, The Day of the Jackal is a thriller that reimagines the book for modern times. The action centers on a prolific and ruthless assassin known as The Jackal who operates from the shadows. Until one day, when a tenacious British intelligence officer catches a whiff of him and attempts to track him down. What follows is an action-packed cat-and-mouse chase across Europe that will hopefully keep viewers glued to the screen.
The Day of the Jackal stars Academy Award-winning actor Eddie Redmayne, whom you might know from movies like My Week with Marilyn, Les Misérables, The Theory of Everything, or Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The cast also includes Lashana Lynch, Úrsula Corberó, Charles Dance, Richard Dormer, and Chukwudi Iwuji. The series premieres on Peacock on November 14.
This summer’s hit tornado action movie is making its streaming debut. Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, Twisters is a sequel to the 1996 movie Twister. Can they tame, or at least survive, an unprecedented outbreak of destructive storms? You’ll need to tune in to find out.
Twisters opened in cinemas this past summer and became a box office hit. The audiences loved the disaster film, and so did the critics. The movie currently has a 75% score on Rotten Tomatoes, with many praising it for its likable characters and entertaining plot. It definitely helps that the cast is incredibly appealing. Twisters stars Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick, Anyone But You) and Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People, Where the Crawdads Sing). You can watch it on Peacock stating November 15.
