By order of the Peaky Blinders, this universe will return to Netflix with a sequel series that has a two season order. The streaming service dropped this news via a press release on October 2, 2025 to the surprise and delight of fans. The new Peaky Blinders sequel series will follow the events of the feature film, which is in post-production.
There’s not an official name for what’s coming yet, but we can assume that Peaky Blinders will be somewhere in the title. We do know that each season will have six hour-long episodes and focus on a new generation of Shelbys who are into murder and mayhem. Here’s a quick logline that brings everything together:
Britain, 1953. After being heavily bombed in WWII, Birmingham is building a better future out of concrete and steel. In a new era of Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders, the race to own Birmingham’s massive reconstruction project becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions. This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and danger, with the Shelby family right at its blood-soaked heart.
Cillian Murphy, whom we all love for both his phenomenal turn as Tommy Shelby in the original series, will serve as the executive producer for this new venture. We cannot wait for this crime drama to be back on our screens again.
