Pluribus may have ended its Season 1 run back in December 2025, but the excitement over the Apple TV drama is at an all-time high amid a glitzy awards season run (including a major win for its leading star) has led us to take a closer look at what’s ahead for Season 2.

While details about what’s next for Carol Sturka (Rhea Seehorn) and company remain under wraps, some details about Pluribus Season 2 have emerged as little teases surface from the cast and crew. When will Pluribus Season 2 premiere?

There is no premiere date for Pluribus Season 2 yet, but as reported by Forbes, fans won’t likely see episodes until later in 2027 or early 2028 as scripts have only just been completed. But thankfully, filming is set to begin in fall 2026, meaning progress is set to pick up sooner rather than later. Who will star in Pluribus Season 2?

Season 1 of Pluribus starred Rhea Seehorn, Karolina Wydra, Carlos-Manuel Vesga, Samba Schutte, Menik Gooneratne, and more. While we expect Seehorn, Wydra, and Vesga back in Season 2, it’s unclear which other performers will be back for Season 2 without an official announcement from Apple TV.

What will Pluribus Season 2 be about?

Pluribus followed Carol Sturka, a woman who finds herself immune to a hive mind virus that takes over the globe, killing a large fraction of the human population in the process and infecting the rest with an artificial happiness. While Season 1 chronicled Carol’s efforts to fight back against the hive mind, her feelings wavered until she began to learn more about their plans, which involve infecting her immune mind. Season 2 will hopefully continue to explore what’s next, especially when fellow immune individual, Manousos (Vesga), shows up at her door after traveling halfway across the globe to reach her.

Pluribus is created and written by Vince Gilligan, whose past credits include Breaking Bad and The X-Files, as well as Better Call Saul, where he’d previously collaborated with Seehorn.
