Radiohead have confirmed a 2027 tour of Australia and Japan, marking the band's first Australian shows in 15 years and a long-awaited return to Japan for a series of headline concerts.
The 21-date run includes 16 shows across Australia and five nights in Japan. The Australian leg begins at Perth's RAC Arena on May 3, 2027, with four concerts in the city before the band moves to Melbourne for six shows at Rod Laver Arena. The run continues with six dates at Sydney's Afterpay Arena and concludes in Australia on June 1.
The schedule represents Radiohead's first Australian visit since 2012. It also gives fans in the region a substantial run of dates rather than a single festival appearance or one-off headline concert. The band is expected to perform material from across its catalog, although no setlist has been announced for the 2027 shows.
Radiohead will then travel to Japan for five concerts at GMO Arena Saitama near Tokyo. Those dates are scheduled for June 2027 and follow the band's recent appearance at Summer Sonic, which helped fuel speculation that a larger Japanese run could be coming. The new dates are being presented as standalone headline shows, rather than festival performances.
Australian ticket access is being handled through a registration system rather than a conventional first-come, first-served sale. Registration opened Sept. 7 and closes at 5 p.m. AEST on Thursday, Sept. 10. Frontier Touring said entries submitted during that window will be treated equally, meaning registering earlier does not provide an advantage. The process covers general and accessible ticket allocations.
Fans seeking tickets for the Japan dates will use a separate official lottery presale. That registration window runs through Sept. 27. Each Japanese ticket includes a ¥200 donation, with the band matching the contribution for More Trees, a forest-conservation organization.
The announcement extends Radiohead's live return, which began in 2025 after the group had not performed together since 2018. The band subsequently played a series of European shows and remained active with additional live appearances, including the recent Summer Sonic set in Japan.
Radiohead have not announced any further 2027 tour legs beyond Australia and Japan. The group also has not announced a new studio album. Its most recent album, "A Moon Shaped Pool," was released in 2016, so the new dates are currently best understood as a live-performance announcement rather than an album-cycle rollout.
[UPDATE: Add Australian general on-sale date and time once Frontier Touring confirms it following the Sept. 10 registration cutoff.]
For fans planning to attend, the immediate deadline is the Australian registration cutoff on Sept. 10, followed by the Japanese lottery deadline later in the month. Official ticket information and any future date additions should be checked through Radiohead's verified channels and Frontier Touring rather than unofficial resale or tour-listing pages.
