Ringo Starr's first four solo albums are to be reissued on vinyl.
UMe have announced the reissue of the Beatles legend's first four solo efforts - Sentimental Journey, Beaucoups of Blues, Ringo and Goodnight Vienna - on Buttermilk Yellow colour vinyl, Baby Blue colour vinyl, Molten Lava colour vinyl, and Psychedelic Waves custom colour vinyl respectively on the artist's official store on October 24.
Ringo, 85, introduced himself as a solo artist with Sentimental Journey in 1970 after famously proposing the question, "Why don't we take a sentimental journey?", to legendary Beatles producer George Martin after the break-up of the Hey Jude hitmakers.
He then recorded 12 covers of staples from the American songbook as he tipped his hat to the songs that shaped him in his early years.
Ringo released the follow-up Beaucoups of Blues later that year, where he embraced his love of country and folk music on a record that was made over three days in Nashville.
The Fab Four drummer's namesake album Ringo arrived in 1973 and saw the musician collaborate with Beatles bandmates John Lennon, Sir Paul McCartney and George Harrison as well as stars such as The Band's Robbie Robertson and T-Rex frontman Marc Bolan.
The record included tracks such as Photograph and the Lennon-written I'm the Greatest, reaching number two on the US Billboard 200 chart.
Finally, Ringo released Goodnight Vienna in 1974, which saw him work with the likes of Lennon, Sir Elton John and Billy Preston.
The record was cut at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles and yielded material such as No No Song and Only You (And You Alone), helping him to return to the top 10 of the US Billboard 200.
Bruce Resnikoff, President and CEO of UMe, said: "For decades, Ringo has shaped music and inspired audiences worldwide, revered for his artistry and for his mission to spread peace and love around the world. We are honoured to be entrusted with preserving his body of work, from his early work to his solo albums throughout the years. These reissues highlight his depth, his creativity and his lasting cultural impact."
