Roku regularly adds channels to its free service, The Roku Channel, which is available on all Roku TVs and streaming players.

Thanks to the most recent update, The Roku Channel users now have access to six more channels across a variety of genres.

What free channels did Roku add?

The entire list is as follows:

  • Channel 313 - Rawhide
  • Channel 314 - The Beverly Hillbillies
  • Channel 624 - Ink Master
  • Channel 815 - Toso.o
  • Channel 978 - MTV en Español
  • Channel 6036 - Westerns

The first two channels transport viewers back to the 1960s with Rawhide, a legendary Western, and The Beverly Hillbillies, an iconic sitcom, from the period. There's also a new channel dedicated solely to the art of classic Westerns.

Ink Master features the long-running, tattoo-centric reality series, with MTV en Español providing entertainment for Spanish-speaking audiences and Toso.o still a bit of a mystery, writes Luke Bouma of Cord Cutters.

"In total, the rollout enhances an already expansive library exceeding hundreds of live channels and thousands of on-demand titles," Bouma said. "Whether revisiting childhood favorites through black-and-white Western trails or discovering new artists via Spanish-language music videos, the six channels enrich everyday entertainment choices."

Roku adding on to recent changes

Last month, Roku debuted 16 new free channels and also announced it would be teaming up Amazon Prime to offer Howdy, it's new subscription service, to Prime Video subscribers.

“Our goal has always been to make great entertainment more accessible,” said Gil Fuchsberg, Roku’s president of Subscriptions, Partnerships and Corporate Development, via Variety. “Expanding to Prime Video builds on our momentum and furthers our mission to deliver an ad-free streaming experience at a price that makes it easy for audiences everywhere to enjoy content they love.”
