Shakira has been crowned Billboard’s Global Touring Icon following the record-breaking success of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran stadium tour, which launched in April 2024 and is scheduled to wrap in December 2025.
The tour, supporting her chart-topping album of the same name, spans 82 shows. So far, 64 dates have generated over $327.4 million in revenue and sold more than 2.5 million tickets. It is now the highest-grossing Latin tour ever by a female artist and currently ranks second overall among Latin tours. Based on current sales, it is expected to take the top spot by the end of the year.
The dazzling run has included Shakira’s record-breaking 12-show run at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros, where she sold 65,000 tickets per night - totalling 780,000 tickets. No other artist has played that many shows at the venue.
The award was presented at the 2025 Billboard Live Music Summit in West Hollywood. Shakira’s longtime tour manager Marty Hom accepted the honour on her behalf, noting her work ethic and global appeal.
Known for her electrifying performances and genre-blending catalogue, Shakira’s latest tour has been hailed as a triumphant return to the global stage.
Fans have been treated to a high-energy setlist that spans her greatest hits, from Hips Don’t Lie to Waka Waka, alongside new material from her latest album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. The tour’s title, which translates to Women No Longer Cry, has resonated deeply with audiences worldwide.
