'Spider-Man 3' finally has an official title

Tom Holland can exhale, as he is no longer at risk of spoiling Spider-Man 3's official title.

After Holland and his co-stars, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, teased fans with three different titles Tuesday, Marvel put all rumors to rest Wednesday with a clever skit unveiling the official title to be Spider-Man 3: No Way Home:

Previously, Holland joked that the title would be Spider-Man 3: Phone Home, while Zendaya went with Home Slice and Batalon suggested Home-wrecker

Holland has a reputation for letting superhero secrets slip, which he addressed in a recent Esquire cover story. “I will always argue that I didn’t” spoil anything, he told writer Allie Jones, “and Marvel and Sony will always argue that I did.” You can judge for yourself here.

Regardless, the 24-year-old actor who has portrayed the titular Spider-Man in five other films, was able to tease one thing about the upcoming iteration earlier this week:

No Way Home will presumably pick up where 2019’s Far From Home left off. The final scene showcased Holland’s Peter Parker taking Zendaya’s MJ out as Spider-Man, swinging from webs around New York City, but mid-credits and post-credits scenes set up plenty more conflict for Spidey to confront.
