As we near the final season of what has been nearly a decade in the making, the Duffer Brothers have finally revealed runtimes for Stranger Things Season 5: Volume One.
Co-creator Ross Duffer unveiled the runtimes for the first batch of episodes in an Instagram post with the caption “ACTUAL runtimes.” As we probably all expected, it looks like season five is set to be one behemoth of a finale.
“Volume One” hits Netflix on November 26. According to the post, runtimes for the first four episodes are as follows: “Chapter One: The Crawl” runs for 1 hour and 8 minutes, “Chapter Two: The Vanishing of…” runs for 54 minutes, “Chapter Three: The Turnbow Trap” runs for 1 hour and 6 minutes, and “Chapter Four: Sorcerer” runs for 1 hour and 23 minutes. Phew, that’s a massive start. But, hey, we’re not complaining.
Runtimes for the remainder of the episodes have yet to be announced. Knowing the Duffers, though, I’m sure a sneak peak is soon to come. “Volume Two,” which includes Chapters Five, Six, and Seven, will release on December 25. The eighth and final episode—which marks the epic conclusion to the beloved series—will drop on December 31.
Back in August, the Duffers teased additional details for the first four episodes on social media.
“Chapters Three and Four: locked, mixed, scored, colored… Volume One is DONE,” Ross Duffer captioned in an Instagram post. Additionally, he hinted that Chapter Four is going to be “massive.”
“It’s as big as any finale we’ve ever done,” he wrote. As new details continue to surface, one thing’s for sure: Stranger Things 5 will be explosive. Bring it on Duffers, we’re ready.
