'Stranger Things' legacy featurette gives us a glimpse of Season 5

The featurette shows a lot of clips from the first four seasons. And it reminds us all just how little the kids of the Hawkins A.V. Club were when this all started out. We have literally watched them grow up before our eyes. Sure, four years passed for them instead of ten, but hey, who’s counting? One thing that David Harbour said is that the Duffer Brothers’ pilot for Stranger Things remains one of the best he’s ever read, and we still believe it’s one of the best TV pilots of all time. That this show kept the public interest all these years is truly a testament to this incredible cast and creative team.

So what teasers for season five did we glean from this behind-the-scenes featurette? Well, it looks like it’s all-out war between the citizens of Hawkins and Vecna. We’re seeing moments that remind us of the classic ’80s movie Red Dawn. The big difference is that the creatures this time are literally red, not Soviet red. Stranger Things 5 will release on Netflix across three premiere dates with “Volume 1” on November 26 (four episodes), “Volume 2” on Christmas (three episodes), and “The Finale” on New Year’s Eve. Each volume releases at 5 PM PT. It will truly mark the end of an era.
