‘Superfakes’: Lucy Liu Stars in Peacock’s Crime Drama

Lucy Liu returns to the small screen as a small-time counterfeit dealer who enters the black-market underworld in an effort to fund her suburban life in a new series from Peacock. Liu will star in and executive produce the crime drama Superfakes from Emmy Award-winner Alice Ju, who also serves as showrunner.

Josh Safdie and Benny Safdie, the anxiety-thriller masterminds behind Uncut Gems and Good Time, are among the executive producers; A24 and Universal Studio Group’s UCP are producing the project.

The story follows a suburban housewife who funds her suburban lifestyle by selling counterfeit of high-end goods, but finds herself over her head when she dives into the black market.
