Just last month actress Sydney Sweeney was forced to announce her new movie after paparazzi went snooping around her set.
"Well the cats out of the bag thanks to some paps in bushes so here's a little [behind the scenes] from my film I'm working on right now," Sweeney wrote on her Instagram caption at the time. She later revealed she's starring in a new film focused on Hall of Fame boxer Christy Martin.
Just over a month later, Sweeney revealed they wrapped shooting the film in an emotional post on Instagram.
"I don’t usually write a lot in my captions but this movie and experience I feel needs more than just a few words. We have wrapped filming Christy Martin’s story and it has been one of the most emotional, transformative experiences of my life," she said in the caption.
"Christy’s journey is so deeply inspiring, and having her by my side during this process was nothing short of surreal. There were moments on set where I’d glance over at her standing by the monitors, cheering us on, and I’d just become so emotional. Knowing what she’s endured, what she’s pushed through to be there in that moment—it made me want to cry."
Sweeney posed for a photo with Martin and looked unrecognizable as the famous boxer.
Sweeney noted Martin's story "is so much bigger than just a film. It’s a testament to resilience, survival, and finding the strength to keep fighting."
After winning the super welterweight title in 2009, she survived a brutal attack from her husband in which she was stabbed and shot in the chest in 2010.
Six years later he became the first woman to be inducted into the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame and the first woman to be inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2020.
Martin finished her boxing career with a record of 49-7-3.
