Taylor Swift reveals album cover for 'The Life of a Showgirl'

While appearing on boyfriend Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast, Taylor Swift unveiled the official cover for her next album, The Life of a Showgirl

"It was something that I was working on while I was in Europe on The Eras Tour," she explained. "I would be playing shows, I'd do like three shows in a row, I'd have three days off, I'd fly to Sweden, go back to the tour, and actually, working on this, I was physically exhausted at this point in the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating."

Along with Swift, Max Martin and Shellback are album producers. TS12 has a total of 12 tracks, including "The Fate of Ophelia," "Elizabeth Taylor," "Opalite," "Father Figure," "Eldest Daughter," "Ruin The Friendship," "Actually Romantic," "Wi$h Li$t," "Wood," "CANCELLED!," "Honey," and "The Life of a Showgirl," featuring Sabrina Carpenter.

Carpenter shared her excitement, writing on her Instagram Stories, "I know someone who's freaking out and it's me." She also posted a photo of herself on stage with Swift in her orange dress during one of their performances together on The Eras Tour, for which she was an opening act.

"This album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant, and it just comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in, in my life," she expressed. "And so, that effervescence has come through on this record."

The singer/songwriter continues to note that there will not be any other songs coming, "This is the record I've been wanting to make for a very long time. And I also wanted it to be just every single song is on this album for hundreds of reasons, you know? You couldn't take one out and it be the same album. You couldn't add one, it's just right, and that focus and that kind of discipline with creating an album and keeping the bar really high is something I've been wanting to do for a very long time. I tend to love to write lots and lots of music, so it's a temptation to release lots of music."

The Life of a Showgirl will be released on October 3. Let the countdown begin!
