Let’s Gooo! Tyler Crispen had another chance to become a winner of a TV show when he competed on The 1% Club on Tuesday, June 24. Did the reality TV star make it all the way? Read on to find out.
The 1% Club is a game show where 100 people answer brain teaser questions. Americans were polled, and the contestants have to see if they are smarter than most of them to make it to the question that only one percent of Americans got right. If they do, they win $100,000 or split it evenly between however many people made it that far.
Contestants are given a pass that they can only use once. If they use it, they are still in the game, but their $1,000 goes in the prize pot. It can also not be used on the 1% question.
Big Brother and The Challenge star Tyler Crispen tried to prove his smarts by appearing on the show. Host Joel McHale talked to him after he got the second question correct.
When Joel McHale asked him what he did for work, Crispen replied that he has been on reality TV and that he is a full-time dad. “How did you do on Big Brother?” the host asked. “We don’t gotta talk about it,” Tyler Crispen replied. When McHale asked him how he did on The Challenge, Crispen admitted, “I’ve lost every show I’ve ever been on, Joel, so that’s why I’m here.”
“Alright, well, Tyler. This might be the show you finally win,” Joel McHale said.
“I’m hoping, man, but I got to pee really bad right now, so I don’t know,” the reality star said.
“Let it fly, dude,” the host replied.
He placed second on Big Brother 20 and won America’s Favorite Houseguest, taking home $75,000. He also appeared on the 22nd season, placing sixth.
He also competed on The Challenge USA 2 and was the 13th contestant eliminated. Crispen also appeared in one episode of Season 4 of Outer Banks. Crispen revealed on January 14, 2025, that he became a father for the first time when he welcomed his daughter, Carter Rae Crispen, on January 12, with his fiancée, whose identity he had not yet revealed.

Cripsen lasted until the 40 percent question, which was “Each of the colored eggs contains ONE hidden letter. The blue eggs contain letters from A-I, the green eggs contain the letters from J-Q, and the red eggs contain the letters from R-Z. Which carton below is the only one that could contain the word ‘Excellent?'”
“A” had three blue, two green, and four red. “B” contained four blue, two red, and three green. “C” was filled with one red, four green, and four blue. The correct answer was “B” since there were two red eggs, which would contain the letters “T” and “X.”
13 people went out on that question, so it wasn’t just Crispen. “Tyler C, you’ve just lost another reality show,” McHale said. “What happened?”
“I thought I got it right,” he said. “Sorry, guys!” When McHale asked him which was more work, The 1% Club or Big Brother, Crispen said the game show was tough.
“Well, thanks for being a good sport,” McHale said.
But, Crispen shouldn’t feel so bad because four women made it to the one percent question and all got it wrong. They lost out on splitting $99,000. The question was “These words have all been assigned a two-digit number according to a certain rule. What two-digit number should go with SEVENTEEN?”
“ONE=12
EIGHT=32
TEN=21
TWELVE=42
SEVENTEEN=?”
The correct answer was 54. The first digit is the number of consonants, and the second digit is the number of vowels.

Yankees Announce Paul Goldschmidt News After Loss to Twins
The New York Yankees won their first series of August in a three-game set against the Minnesota Twins from Monday to Wednesday, but they're still in trouble. They're only one game ahead of the Cleveland Guardians for the third and final AL Wild Card spot with six weeks left in the regular season. The Yankees beat the Twins 6-2 on Monday and 9-1 on Tuesday before losing 4-1 on Wednesday, but Tuesday's victory came at a price. First baseman Paul Goldschmidt left early and didn't play on Wednesday, a night in which New York especially needed his bat. The Yankees released an update on Goldschmidt after Wednesday night's game, via MLB.com's Bryan Hoch. The 37-year-old has a low-grade knee sprain with inflammation. He's slashing .276/.331/.422 with 10 homers and 40 RBI over 112 games. Fellow first baseman Ben Rice went 1-for-4 in Goldshmidt's stead on Wednesday. The 26-year-old is slashing .233/.326/.456 with 17 homers and 38 RBI over 101 contests. Paul Goldschmidt comments on injury Goldschmidt said that he hopes he can avoid the IL with a "short-term" absence, via Hoch. While Rice is a high-upside player in his second year, the seven-time All-Star is still a more dependable contact hitter at this point. Goldschmidt is third on the squad with 110 hits, although his younger counterpart's OPS is 30 points higher. The Yankees need the veteran back as soon as possible to help them maintain their Wild Card spot. His presence allows Rice to play catcher, which is optimal given Austin Wells's struggles. The 26-year-old is slashing just .206/.264/.408 with 15 homers and 56 RBI over 94 games. Up next for New York is a road series against the St. Louis Cardinals, Goldschmidt's former team.

The Green Bay Packers got to practice with the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday, with many players missing on Matt LaFleur’s side due to injuries. As such, several younger players got to see more action on the field, and while Green Bay had success here and there, the first-team offense, without Jordan Love, reportedly struggled finding its rhythm. For tight end Tucker Kraft, the issues can be attributed to “youth” and lack of experience as a whole. “Some of our youth showed a lot,” Kraft said, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. “When we’re out there, the importance is knowing what to do and doing it at a really fast speed at a very consistent level, so our youth showed a little bit in some instances with the injuries that we have on our depth chart.” Still, Kraft is looking forward to the “young guys” making better things happen in the next session with the Colts, whom they will also be facing in a preseason game on Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium. “You get these young guys in a situation where they might not be as confident in themselves as far as the textbook goes,” Kraft added (h/t Mike Spofford of Packers.com). “So they might not be surging off the rock, working edges, angles in the route game to the best of their ability. They got another shot with these guys, so we’ll just have to see how they do in Part 2.” Injuries have piled up for the Green Bay Packers amid NFL preseason Apart from Love, who went under the knife to repair what appears to be a minor finger issue, the Packers are also dealing with injuries to Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Xavier McKinney, Christian Watson and Dontayvion Wicks. The hope is that at least most of them will be ready to give it a go when the Packers kick off their 2025 NFL regular season against the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field on September 7.
Mets' playoff chances in jeopardy after latest tough loss
The New York Mets have been in a slump for a couple of weeks now, and it is putting their playoff chances in some serious jeopardy. After Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Atlanta Braves, the Mets have lost 13 of their past 15 games and have seen a once-comfortable lead in the wild-card race nearly completely disappear. Following Thursday's results, the Mets have the slimmest of leads over the Cincinnati Reds for the third and final wild-card spot in the National League, sitting just 0.5 games ahead of them. It is a stunning reversal from where things were just a little more than two weeks ago. On July 27, the Mets completed a three-game sweep of the San Francisco Giants to win their seventh game in a row and improve to 62-44 on the season. They were not only six games ahead of the Reds in the playoff race, but they were on top of the National League East (holding a 1.5-game lead over the Philadelphia Phillies) and were just a half-game behind the Milwaukee Brewers for the best record in the National League. Now all of that is gone. As of Thursday night, the Mets trail the Phillies by five games in the NL East, they are 12.5 games back of the Brewers for the top spot in the NL overall and now only have half a game of cushion over the Reds. They also have the St. Louis Cardinals (3.5 back) right behind them and gaining ground. Manager Carlos Mendoza tried to remain optimistic while also acknowledging they are not playing well. The Mets' bats have been a big source of frustration during this slump, but it's not the only issue. The bullpen has also been a major problem, and key trade-deadline addition Ryan Helsley contributed to that on Thursday by giving up two runs in the top of the eighth inning to turn a 3-2 Mets lead into a 4-3 deficit. Whether it is the bats, the arms or the defense causing the problem, the common result remains the same — more losses. Now the Mets find themselves right in the thick of the playoff race, fighting for a spot. It was not that long ago that they seemed to be a playoff lock.
Jimmy Garoppolo's pass to Davante Adams draws attention for wrong reasons
Jimmy Garoppolo and Davante Adams have been reunited on the Los Angeles Rams, and the star receiver may have nightmares over one throw that came his way on Thursday. The Rams and New Orleans Saints held a joint training camp practice on Thursday. At one point during an 11-on-11 scrimmage, Garoppolo floated a pass toward Adams into traffic over the middle of the field. Adams did not make the catch, and for good reason. He was between three defenders and was fortunate that hitting was not allowed. Otherwise, he probably would have gotten throttled. It is possible that Garoppolo threw the pass knowing Adams was not going to be hit by a defender. The veteran quarterback would probably think twice about making a throw like that during an actual game — or so Adams hopes. Adams was one of the players featured on the Netflix documentary series "Receivers" last year. During one of the episodes, Adams was shown ranting about Garoppolo when the two were teammates on the Raiders. Adams was heard saying he needed to get out of Las Vegas "before I lose my (expletive) life." The six-time Pro Bowl receiver also said he had "never been hit this many (expletive) times in my career." Garoppolo is now the backup with the Rams and has been taking first-team reps while Matthew Stafford nurses a back injury. Adams said in an interview last month that he loves Garoppolo and chalked any previous issues up to everyone being "pretty miserable" when the Raiders were losing. The Rams are hoping Stafford will be fully healthy by Week 1. If he is not, Garoppolo may have to play. The quarterback had better get those so-called "hospital balls" out of his system in training camp.
