Is that a collective “Yes, Chef!” we hear from the crowd? The fourth season of FX and Hulu’s critically acclaimed culinary comedy/drama series The Bear just debuted, and fans of the show have been wondering if that might be the end. After all, in the streaming age, few shows seem to make it past a third season anymore. Well, worry not. We’ve learned that FX and Hulu have renewed The Bear for a fifth season, which will debut sometime in 2026. It will premiere on FX, and stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ as well. Here’s what FX president John Landgraf had to say about the renewal of the Emmy award-winning series:
The Bear continues to be a fan favorite worldwide and their response to this season—as seen through incredibly high viewership—has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons. Year-in and year-out, Chris Storer, the producers, cast and crew make The Bear one of the best shows on television, and we are excited that they will continue to tell this magnificent story.
For its second season, The Bear garnered a whopping 11 Emmy wins . In the most recent season, which has an 85% Rotten Tomatoes score, Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney Adamu ( Ayo Edebiri), and Richard “Richie” Jerimovich ( Fantastic Four’s Ebon Moss-Bachrach) keep pushing forward. They are determined not only to survive, but also to take the restaurant to the next level. With new challenges around every corner, the team must adapt, adjust, and overcome. The Bear also stars Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Matty Matheson, with Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon in recurring roles. Each season consists of 10 episodes, and we expect the same for season five. For those hoping to catch up with The Bear, the first four seasons are now streaming on Hulu.
