Star Wars The Mandalorian and Grogu first teaser trailer Lucasfilm

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Baby Yoda being too adorable for words for a minute and a half. Yes, The Mandalorian and Grogu‘s first teaser trailer is here. It contains many Star Wars  delights, including Baby Yoda and The Mandalorian spectacularly exploding an AT-AT, Sigourney Weaver making her Star Wars debut, and Jeremy Allen White’s indeed very buff take on Jabba the Hutt’s son Rotta. But let’s face it, mostly this trailer reminds us of the most important facet of any The Mandalorian project, how intensely adorable Grogu is. You can check out The Mandalorian and Grogu‘s first trailer below.

We honestly can’t stop cooing. But in addition to how adorable the trailer looks, The Mandalorian and Grogu also has the energy of an epic Star Wars movie. We see The Mandalorian and Grogu head from planet to planet, from mischief to mischief, and we feel sure this is going to be one fun adventure.

An official synopsis shared alongside The Mandalorian and Grogu‘s trailer tells us more about what we can expect from the movie, sharing:

The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu. Directed by Jon Favreau, “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu” also stars Sigourney Weaver and is produced by Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce,  with music composed by Ludwig Göransson.

Sounds like we’ll see The Mandalorian and Grogu take on a series of jobs for the New Republic in this new Star Wars movie—and that feels like a pretty fun concept for a movie, if you ask us—one heist to another. Speaking of sounds, the teaser trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu makes perfect use of The Mandalorian‘s epic theme music—promising us that the Star Wars movie knows exactly how to play on our emotions.

Babu Frik returns in The Mandalorian and Grogu trailer Lucasfilm

In The Mandalorian and Grogu trailer, we see many exciting developments. For one, it looks like The Mandalorian has somehow managed to get his iconic ship the Razor Crest back from the junkyard it ended up in The Mandalorian series. Additionally, we see Babu Frik, everyone’s favorite Anzellan from The Rise of Skywalker, return for this Star Wars movie. He and Grogu look like they are sneaking around somewhere they ought not to be. Sigourney Weaver also finally arrives on the scene, but all we know about her is that she won’t give Grogu snacks.

And then, could it be? Yes, it’s Zeb back in live-action. Zeb, or Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios, is a a beloved character from the Ghost team of Star Wars Rebels. He made his live-action debut in The Mandalorian, so it’s fitting that he returns in this Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu  trailer. Then there’s the first appearance of Jeremy Allen White’s Rotta the Hutt and yet more Anzellans. Of course, the pièce de résistance of the trailer, The Mandalorian and Grogu go rocketing out of an AT-AT as it explodes around them. Phew! As Babu Frik says, “Good shot, Baby!”

As mentioned, they’ll be joined by Sigourney Weaver in a yet unknown role and Jeremy Allen White, who will pick up the Hutt mantle as Jabba the Hutt’s son. Judging by The Mandalorian and Grogu trailer, Rotta will be running some kind of fighting ring in the movie.
