It's all come down to this! After escaping the dreaded Nazi universe inPeacemaker Episode 7, Chris Smith, AKA Peacemaker (John Cena), turned himself in to the authorities for possession of a doorway that accesses a Quantum Unfolding Chamber, which leads, seemingly, to an infinite number of parallel universes. But now, going into Episode 8, Chris is locked up, and his friends are faced with big choices. So, what comes next?

The Peacemaker Season 2 finale is shrouded in secrecy, and other than one brief trailer (watch below!), even members of the press haven't seen this big episode. If you're following the ever-expanding DCU, Peacemaker's big moment is one TV episode you can't miss. Here's what to know about the release date, the streaming time, and what to know about the game-changing story. No spoilers ahead.

Peacemaker Season 2 Finale Release Date

Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 8, "Full Nelson," will be released on HBO Max on Thursday, October 9. This is the eighth and final episode of the season.

Peacemaker Season 2 Finale Streaming Time

New episodes of Peacemaker hit HBO Max at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time. This will be the last new episode of Peacemaker to be on HBO Max for the foreseeable future.

Peacemaker Season 2 Finale's Game-Changing Plot

In various interviews, the DCU head and Peacemaker showrunner James Gunn has asserted that the ending of Peacemaker Episode 8 was what he specifically pitched to Warner Bros boss David Zaslav to demonstrate "what some of the stories" of the new DCU "would be."

The preview trailer for Episode 8 indicates that ARGUS, as well as all of Peacemaker's allies, will be checking various portals in the quantum unfolding chamber, for what? Clearly, some very trippy alternate universes will be glimpsed in this episode, but where will that take the DCU more broadly?

As of now, we don't know. Some fans are expecting more of Nicholas Hoult's Lex Luthor, while others are wondering if David Corenswet's Superman will join John Cena's Peacemaker outright. But, no matter what happens, nothing in the DCU will be the same again.
