THE WALKING DEAD Universe Auction Includes Iconic Items for Sale

The Walking Dead’s first episode aired 15 years ago this month and TV hasn’t been the same since. The series helped establish the live-tweeting era. Fans would come together on Sundays to see what Rick Grimes and company were up to. After eleven seasons, The Walking Dead ended back in 2022 as spinoffs took flagship characters like Rick, Michonne, Daryl, Carol, Negan, and Maggie in different directions. To celebrate the show’s 15th anniversary, Heritage Auctions is holding a massive The Walking Dead auction with popular items from the show.

Dead family, this collection is massive and truly has something for everyone. If you’ve dreamed about owning a piece of Walking Dead history, then this auction is for you. There’s Rick’s infamous hat that the whole Grimes family has worn, which we love. And the items also include Michonne’s katana, Daryl’s angel wing vest, and even Dale’s RV from the show’s early days. A lot of costumes of all characters, from Shane to smaller roles like Duane Jones, are available too. There are also a few Fear the Walking Dead items in the mix as well. And you have plenty of time to peruse this Walking Dead auction. It started on October 6 and will run through November 1.

Greg Nicotero, who was once an executive producer, director and The Walking Dead’s special effects guru, is just as excited about this auction as we are. “As a collector myself, I am delighted that fans and collectors get the opportunity to own a piece of Walking Dead history,” he said. “Our show really did change the way people watched genre television and brought zombies into their living rooms every Sunday night… you can’t beat that! We always tried to keep the zombies scary and interesting with a sense of dread and foreboding. We worked out a formula that preserved horror and realism, but still let the actors give a performance.”
