20 fictional characters who would be an extrovert’s best friend

Drake Parker may not have been the best brother to his step-sibling, Josh, but we think he'd make a great friend. Sure, there'd be some rough periods, especially because he's not as mature as we'd like for him to be; however, he always shows up when it's needed most. And he brings a ball of energy with him, too. 

Not only is Elle Woods a standout lawyer, but she's also the president of the Delta Nu sorority in the 2001 movie Legally Blonde. Basically, she knows all about being a good friend. 

If you're not fighting for us the way Rod Williams fought for his friend, Chris Washington, in the 2017 thriller Get Out, we don't want it. 

Abbott Elementary's principal, Ava Coleman, is an especially unique character. She is self-absorbed, overly confident, and often delusional — providing nonstop entertainment to her extroverted besties. 

Joy in the Disney film Inside Out perfectly embodies her name. She's optimistic, gregarious, cheerful, and a ball of fun, making the perfect friend for high-energy extroverts who are always looking for a good time.

We’ve all seen Frozone tag along with Mr. Incredible on those late-night superhero missions, so we know the ice king, voiced by Samuel L. Jackson in The Incredibles, would totally be down to hang with us and our extroverted crew of normies.

Buzz Lightyear has no problem diving headfirst into adventure. Just like Frozone, we know this superhero would always be up for action-packed fun. 

Alex Russo knows how to have a good time, as shown in the Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place. Even though her antics might get us into some trick situations, we know she's passionate about having fun and would always be looking to create lasting memories.

London Tipton might not be everyone's cup of tea, but that's okay. The fictional heiress, inspired by Hollywood A-lister Paris Hilton, is always up for an adventure and knows how to keep things exciting.

Zack Martin finally grew up during The Suite Life on Deck, showcasing more emotional maturity, compassion, and empathy during the original Disney series. However, his charisma remained, and so did his outgoing personality, which is exactly what we'd want from our best friend on a massive cruise ship. 

Yes, Sharpay Evans has a bold presence, but only an extrovert would be able to endure such a personality. 

Ron Weasley might be an extroverted introvert, but that's okay. Based on the young wizard's initial interaction with Harry during the first Harry Potter book, we know that there's no better person to experience Hogwarts with. (Just don't tell Hermione.) 

Although Nick has his questionable moments in New Girl, the bartender often showcases his hilarious personality throughout the show. His loyalty and genuine care for his friends shine through during the series' most heartfelt moments, reminding viewers that behind his tough exterior lies a deeply caring individual. One we'd love to make friends with!

Jake is full of good energy, which is why audience members can't get enough of his character on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He embraces adventure and excitement, and he's always up for a good time.

We can't have a list like this without including Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother. He's known for his larger-than-life (and sometimes offensive) personality and passion for adventure, which would make him our go-to friend when we're ready for a night of fun. 

If Ron can keep up with Kim Possible, the crime-fighting teenage cheerleader, then we know he can keep up with us. Plus, we're not that adventurous. 

Galleria Garibaldi from The Cheetah Girls had a mission, and she was determined to reach it. We saw her bubbly (and often demanding) personality during the franchise's first two movies, and regardless of the edit, we know she's a standout friend who would make an extrovert's ideal partner in crime.
