The Instagram account Wandering Cassettes has truly made a splash by playing classic tunes on his cassette player. Each post brings viewers to a new, relaxing location where they can get lost in the soft sounds emanating from the cassette. The sentiment behind the viral page is a bittersweet tale. It was created to honor the memory of the creator’s late wife, who passed away from cancer a little over a year ago. Sharing a love of music and walking, the pair found joy in exploring new locations and filming short highlights. Now, he carries the tradition forward, extending that same joy to us.

“Me and my late wife shared a love for music, and she shared with me her love for walks,” Wandering Cassettes wrote. “We had decided it would be fun to find different locations around town to film little highlights of cassettes and merge the two passions.”

“We had filmed a few, but only ever posted this first one before she fell ill. I thought it might be nice to continue on with the idea.”
