Radiohead singer Thom Yorke and the band’s album cover artist’s creative work will be featured together for the first time in a public exhibition.
The Ashmolean Museum in Oxford is hosting the event showcasing the creative partnership of Radiohead’s frontman Thom, 56, and artist Stanley Donwood, also 56, whose evocative artwork has defined the group’s visual identity for decades.
Titled ‘This Is What You Get: Stanley Donwood, Radiohead, Thom Yorke’, after a lyric from the iconic Radiohead song ‘Karma Police’, the exhibition will feature over 120 pieces, spanning paintings, drawings, and digital works.
Among the highlights are Yorke’s personal notebooks and sketchbooks, being displayed for the first time, and Stanley’s iconic designs from Radiohead’s career.
An Ashmolean spokesperson said: “It’s an opportunity to see the interplay between two creative forces who’ve shaped not just music, but its visual storytelling.”
Essex-born Stanley, whose real name is Dan Rickwood, has been integral to Radiohead’s visual output since their third EP My ‘Iron Lung’ in the mid-1990s.
He met Thom at the University of Exeter and has worked on every album cover from ‘The Bends’ onward, including Grammy-winning artwork for ‘Amnesiac’.
His collaborations also extend to Yorke’s side projects, such as ‘The Smile’, and to external commissions such as Glastonbury Festival.
Opening on 8 August 2025, the exhibition will explore the duo’s 40-year partnership and the complex relationship between visual art and music.
Radiohead fans will recognise iconic imagery from albums such as ‘OK Computer’ and ‘In Rainbows’, alongside promotional material and unseen works.
Tickets for non-members will go on sale in April 2025, while museum members can attend for free.
The exhibition’s Oxford location is particularly fitting – Radiohead formed nearby at Abingdon School in 1985, and the band has since become one of Britain’s most celebrated acts, with six UK number one albums and seven top 10 singles to their name.

Five potential landing spots for Christian Wilkins after stunning Raiders release
The Las Vegas Raiders just stunned the league by releasing defensive tackle Christian Wilkins after only one year with the team. After signing a four-year, $110 million contract, he struggled with injuries in 2024. This was supposed to be a big bounce-back year for Wilkins, but after a dispute between the two sides in regard to how to handle his foot injury, the team decided it was best to part ways. Now, a premier interior disruptor is suddenly available. Assuming his medicals get checked out soon, there should be a lot of interest around the league. Where should he land? Dallas Cowboys Dallas has needed a dominant interior presence for quite some time. Osa Odighizuwa is an awesome threat, but he is only solid against the run. Alongside him, the team will be banking heavily on 2023 first-rounder Mazi Smith, who has been disappointing so far. With Dallas looking to return to the playoffs, adding a stud like Wilkins could give Dallas one of the best defensive lines in the NFL. San Francisco 49ers The 49ers added some young bodies in CJ West and Alfred Collins, yet neither offer a proven, all-around talent like Wilkins could if healthy. The 49ers defensive line was horrid outside of Nick Bosa in 2024, but by adding Wilkins, the team would now have a solid cast of starters with Nick Bosa, Mykel Williams, Wilkins and Kevin Givens/Jordan Elliott. Miami Dolphins A return to Miami makes a ton of sense for both sides. The Dolphins know exactly how to use Wilkins, he knows the building and players, and the transition would be very easy. Miami needs help in the interior defensive line; by plugging Wilkins back into his old role, he could offer the quickest path to high-level impact. Detroit Lions With Levi Onwuzurike out with injury and Detroit needing more juice on the defensive line, adding a proven disruptor like Wilkins could make some sense. He could provide more depth while he gets fully healthy, and he can join a legit Super Bowl contender. His energy and mentality could be a good fit for a Dan Campbell-led squad. Jacksonville Jaguars The Jaguars defense is average in the interior, but they have excellent edge-rushers who would benefit greatly from a strong disruptor up the middle. Wilkins could balance the front, help in the run defense and allow more one-on-ones for their premier edge-rushers. For a team that wants to return to the playoffs as soon as possible, adding a veteran like Wilkins could be a worthy bet to make.
Raiders releasing former big-ticket addition after just one season
Before the 2024 NFL season the Las Vegas Raiders signed defensive lineman Christian Wilkins to a four-year, $110M contract in free agency to make him a key part of their defensive line. On Thursday, just one year later, the Raiders are releasing him. It is also a situation that is likely to get messy in the coming weeks due to a grievance that Wilkins has filed with the NFLPA. At the center of his release — and grievance — is Wilkins' rehab from a foot injury that cut short his 2024 season after just five games. The Raiders wanted Wilkins to correct the issue with surgery. Wilkins opted not to have the surgery, and as the rehab continued to drag on, there was uncertainty of when he would be able to get back on the field. As recently as Tuesday Raiders head coach Pete Carroll said there was no definitive timeline on when that would be. Just 48 hours later, Wilkins was released, with the Raiders attempting to void the remaining $35.2M in guarantees that he was owed on his contract. Wilkins spent the first five year of his career with the Miami Dolphins, and turned a career-year performance in 2023 into a big-ticket free agency contract with the Raiders. The hope was that he could form a dominant 1-2 punch with Maxx Crosby, and for the five games he played he showed the ability to do that. He was just never healthy enough to continue the rest of the season. Now Las Vegas is going to be left asking what could have been, while Wilkins tries to get the money he believes he is owed. Wilkins will turn 30 in December, and if anyone is confident in his ability to come back from the injury, he could still land on a new team and potentially play a big role.
Lakers Officially Sign Former Ivy League Star
The Lakers probably have not had the impact offseason many fans hoped they'd have, choosing to spend their limited available money on what they hope will be bargain pieces--point guard Marcus Smart and center Deandre Ayton, players who were good enough to be considered stars at one point, but who have fallen off enough that their previous teams saw fit to buy them out. That's far from the wild trade proposals fans and some media members dreamt up over recent months. And it is far from the bubbling rumors of a blockbuster that would send star forward LeBron James elsewhere. It's still possible that the Lakers will find a wild trade to make in the coming weeks, perhaps even one that includes James, no matter how unlikely that looks to be. But those around the league and within the Lakers have long held that L.A. has belief in the current roster, when healthy. And there's a determination to give it a shot. That means not only the additions of Smart and Ayton, but also, finally, getting healthy seasons from Jarred Vanderbilt and Jaxson Hayes, plus improvement from the likes of Bronny James and, of course, more familiarity with Luka Doncic. In the meantime, the Lakers need to fill out the back end of the roster, and for a team that has had some luck with G League and two-way players, that could be important. The Lakers announced on Thursday that they are signing former Cornell star Chris Manon, who struggled and averaged 6.6 points last year after transferring to Vanderbilt, to a two-way contract. Manon played with the Warriors in summer league, and ESPN's Dave McMenamin reported that the Lakers still have a two-way post available. He wrote on Twitter/X: "The Lakers announce the signing of Chris Mañon to a two-way contract. They have one two-way contract available to fill still, with center Christian Koloko signed as their second two-way player." Manon's offensive struggles were obvious when he moved to the SEC, but it was never his scoring that was going to get him to the NBA. As the site No Ceilings wrote of Manon: "Chris Manon is one of the best defensive playmakers in college hoops. Despite carrying a 26.6 usage rate, Manon was still a high-energy, active defender. He posted a 5.5 STL%, 2.8 BLK%, and 4.1 DBPM, which are elite indicators for a guard prospect."
Report: Player has made it clear to Man City he wants to join Tottenham, Spurs working on move
Tottenham Hotspur are focused on signing Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest, despite the delays. According to TBR Football, Manchester City were interested in signing the 25-year-old midfielder as well, but he has already informed them that he wishes to join Tottenham instead. Manchester City have now moved on to other targets. The development will come as a huge boost for Tottenham. It will be interesting to see if they can convince Nottingham Forest to get the deal across the line now. The midfielder was excellent for Nottingham Forest last season, scoring seven goals and picking up 10 assists in the Premier League. He could prove to be a useful acquisition for Tottenham, who need more creativity and technical ability in the final third. Tottenham need Morgan Gibbs-White Tottenham need to improve their squad if they want to do well in the league and the Champions League next season. Signing talented players like Gibbs-White will help them match up to elite clubs. The 25-year-old is capable of slotting into multiple midfield roles, and he will add goals and creativity to the side. James Maddison can be quite inconsistent at times, and Tottenham need more depth in that area of the pitch. Having another top-quality creator would be ideal. Can Spurs convince Nottingham Forest? Initially, there were rumours that Tottenham were prepared to trigger the £60 million exit clause in his contract, but Nottingham Forest are unhappy with the leak of the confidential information regarding his clause, and they are planning legal action against the north London club. It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can work out their differences and finalise the transfer. The player is keen for the move to go through, and Nottingham Forest will not want to hold onto an unhappy player.
