Tom Holland's fourth Spider-Man movie has an official title

Tom Holland is primed to surpass Tobey Maguire on the Peter Parker front. A fourth headlining film for Holland as Spider-Man is scheduled for a 2026 release. It should prove significant to the ol' Marvel Cinematic Universe, given that Disney has sandwiched it between the two "Avengers" movies on the schedule. All the movie was lacking was an official title, but that has now been sorted out (with plenty of time to spare at that).

Say hello to "Spider-Man: Brand New Day." That feels like an apropos title. The first three "Spider-Man" movies starring Holland were subtitled "Homecoming," "Far From Home," and "No Way Home," but there was a bit of a bow put on those films as a self-contained trilogy. Holland, taking a break from filming Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey," made an announcement video that calls this movie a "fresh start."

Of course, unlike "Avengers: Doomsday" and "Avengers: Secret Wars," there isn't much to glean from "Brand New Day" other than, well, the newness of it all. Also, the characters are all going to be aged up a couple years, right? We don't need Holland, Zendaya, and company still playing high schoolers.
