Paramount has dropped the debut trailer for Knuckles, its live-action spinoff series set in the Sonic the Hedgehog movie universe.
Idris Elba voices combat-ready echidna Knuckles, with Adam Pally playing the deputy sheriff he’s working hard to train, Wade Whipple.
Set between the events of 2022’s Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which releases this December, Knuckles follows Knuckles (who else?) as he "agrees to train Wade as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior,” according to the official description.
Stockard Channing, Julian Barratt, Rory McCann, Cary Elwes, Christopher Lloyd, and Rob Huebel also feature.
But what about Sonic himself? While Ben Schwartz reprises his role for a few appearances, with Colleen O’Shaughnessey in tow as loyal pal Tails, the focus is most definitely on Knuckles.
Knuckles hits Paramount+ April 26. And, word is, we’ll get a longer look at it during the Super Bowl’s pregame show.
Speaking of which, here are the 6 biggest film trailers airing at Super Bowl LVIII.
