In Venom: The Last Dance reviews, critics ripped the final Venom movie to shreds, gifting the film a brutal score of just 37% on review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes, but the first reactions across social media tell a different story.

While critics like Discussing Film's Andrew J. Salazar said the film "is not good" and "does a disservice to Tom Hardy", and Amon Warmann of Empire Magazine says he found the film "to be just as objectively awful as the first two", other critics had kinder words for Venom's final outing.

Clarisse Loughrey of Independent (UK) rated the film fresh, saying, "I kind of teared up at one point, feel like we all experienced something beautiful with that long tongued boy".

Loughrey wasn't the only critic to hint towards the film's emotional ebbs and flows, with Jillian Chilingerian of Offscreen Central saying, "I laughed so much and cried".

Chief film critic at IndieWire, David Ehrlich, said he "will be sad for our Venom-less future" but noted that Venom: The Last Dance "is by a solid margin the least fun movie of the series."

Josh Wilding was also a cheerleader for this film, saying it's the most cinematic, monumental Venom movie to date", exclaiming that "the final act is BONKERS!"

Among the high praise, scatters of disdain to match Salazar and Warmann can be found, with Ethan Anderton at Slashfilm saying, "Tom Hardy is still great, but the story is a mess," and even called the film "Boring."

Audiences will get to make up their own minds soon, however, as Venom: The Last Dance is in theaters from October 25.
