Watch Christmas-themed 'Hawkeye' trailer: 'This holiday season, the best gifts come with a bow'

Most people are stressed about finishing their Christmas shopping before Christmas Eve.

Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner), better known as Hawkeye, has bigger concerns in the first official trailer for Marvel Studios' forthcoming Disney Plus series Hawkeye:

After the events of Avengers: Endgame, where Barton managed to get his family back together after Thanos snapped his fingers and erased them, the trailer begins with Barton sitting down to dinner with his family.

"I love you guys," he says. "I'm making up for some lost time."

A news broadcast report comes on the television asking whether "a masked vigilante who terrorized the city's underworld is back," however, which causes Barton to admit "the past has caught up with me." Even so, he assures his daughter that he will be home for Christmas, and his kids shouldn't worry.

Barton acknowledges that he made a lot of enemies while wearing his Hawkeye suit, but instead, we're introduced to perhaps his biggest fan: 22-year-old Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), whom some are calling the best archer in the world.

"Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas," the official synopsis teases. "Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit."

Led by Renner and Steinfeld, the cast is rounded out by Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d'Arcy James and Alaqua Cox.

The series will premiere Nov. 24.
