Watch Emma Stone nail Steve Martin's 'Planes, Trains & Automobiles' monologue

Emma Stone's father introduced her to Planes, Trains and Automobiles and Shawshank Redemption at around eight years old, which culminated in the now-32-year-old actress perfectly reciting Steve Martin's profanity-laced monologue from the film on Jimmy Kimmel Live :

Stone has met Martin, she later added, though she has not admitted how much or for how long she has loved him—a detour from how she usually responds when meeting fellow celebrities.

"I do not very often play it cool," she said, "but I think I've tried to keep it semi-cool in front of Steve Martin because I've cried in front of multiple other people, and it's gotta stop. It's gotta stop. I have this instinct to burst into tears when it's someone that I've really admired since childhood, so it's happened too many times."

Ironically, Stone recently discussed how starstruck she was when Leonardo DiCaprio presented her with the Oscar for best actress in 2017:
