New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton was suspended by the NFL for one season in March 2012, making him the first head coach suspended by the league for any reason, as ESPN relayed at the time.
The punishment was for "Bountygate," referring to a bounty system implemented within the Saints organization from 2009-11 where Saints defensive players were awarded cash to significantly injure opposing players.
During his time away, Payton was an "offensive assistant" for his son's sixth-grade football team, the Liberty Christian Warriors.
The whole situation gets the comedic treatment in Home Team, and the official trailer arrived Tuesday (Dec. 14):
Kevin James portrays Payton, though the real 57-year-old Super Bowl champion was spotted on set over the summer. The movie was produced by Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions, and the cast includes Taylor Lautner, Rob Schneider, Isaiah Mustafa and Sandler's wife, Jackie.
Home Team hits Netflix on Jan. 28.
