Waterparks Release 'JINX' With Mark Hoppus and Danny Elfman

Waterparks released their sixth studio album, JINX, on July 24 through BMG/Rise Records.

The 13-track album includes guest contributions from blink-182's Mark Hoppus, composer Danny Elfman, Foxy Shazam singer Eric Nally and electronic producer Dillon Francis. All four appear on the opening track, "Tell Me Why."

JINX also includes previously released songs such as "Red Guitar," "If Lyrics Were Confidential," "Any Minute Now" and "Prowler." The band announced the album in April alongside the release of the official "Prowler" video.

The record follows Waterparks' 2023 album Intellectual Property. It is the band's first full-length release through BMG after Waterparks announced a new label agreement in 2025.

Frontman Awsten Knight, guitarist Geoff Wigington and drummer Otto Wood remain the group's core lineup. The collaborators on JINX broaden the album beyond a straightforward pop-punk release: Hoppus brings a direct connection to the genre's mainstream history, while Elfman and Francis come from film composition and electronic music.

The remaining track list includes "Better Than Therapy," "Nobody but You," "Gwen Stefani," "No No No No No," "Playing Music," "Mirage," "Tastes Like Tangerine," "Any Minute Now" and "Girls Need Guns."
