WEDNESDAY Season 3 Casts Eva Green as Aunt Ophelia

Wednesday season two ended with our favorite child of woe going to search for her wolfed out pal Enid. But the real cliffhanger was discovering that Grandmama has been apparently keeping Aunt Ophelia locked up in a weird basement. And, for some reason, Ophelia scrawls a message on the wall that Wednesday needs to die. The Frump family secrets are never ending, it seems. We do know that Wednesday season three is coming in the future and, according to Variety, Eva Green will join the cast as Ophelia.

This is excellent casting, indeed. And it finally stops the rumors that Lady Gaga’s character Rosaline is somehow Aunt Ophelia. “I’m thrilled to join the woefully twisted world of Wednesday as Aunt Ophelia,” Green said in a statement. “This show is such a deliciously dark and witty world, I can’t wait to bring my own touch of cuckoo-ness to the Addams family.”

Hopefully it will not take years and years for us to get Wednesday season three. But, even if it does, we cannot wait to see Eva Green rock it as Aunt Ophelia onscreen.
