According to Jorginho, his daughter, who is a big fan of Chappell Roan, was staying at the same hotel as the singer during the festival weekend. At one point, the girl thought she saw her idol and discreetly approached to make sure it was her.

It was then, according to the soccer player’s complaint, that Roan’s security team intervened inappropriately, creating an uncomfortable and distressing situation for the child. “By chance, she is staying at the same hotel as the artist. During breakfast, the artist walked past their table. My daughter, like any child, recognized her, got excited, and wanted to make sure it was her.”

“The worst part is that she didn’t even approach her. She just walked past the singer’s table, confirmed it was her, smiled, and went back to her mother. She didn’t say anything or ask for anything,” said the soccer player, who added that then a security guard approached and spoke to them in an “aggressive manner.”

According to Jorginho, the guard accused the child of harassing and disrespecting the singer and threatened them with filing a complaint. “My daughter was very upset and cried a lot. I have lived with soccer, public exposure, and public figures, and I understand very well what respect and boundaries are. What happened was not that; it was just a child admiring someone.”
