Who’s Who in the Lindsay Clancy Murder Trial

Lindsay Clancy‘s murder trial officially kicked off in late July and is nearing its end. But with so many players, it can be confusing to keep track of who’s who. Let’s break down the people involved and the basics of the case.

Lindsay Clancy

To quickly recap, Lindsay, 36, has been charged with three first-degree murder counts in the January 2023 deaths of her three children. She also cut her wrists and throat and jumped out of a second-story window, paralyzing her from the waist down.

Patrick Clancy

Lindsay’s now ex-husband, Patrick Clancy, 38, found their three kids strangled with exercise bands in their Duxbury, Massachusetts, home, after returning from running errands.

Cora, Dawson, & Callan Clancy

Lindsay and Patrick Clancy welcomed three children during their marriage: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. All of them were killed on January 24, 2023.

Kevin Reddington

Kevin Reddington is Lindsay’s defense attorney. Although he does not dispute that she killed her children, Reddington argued that Lindsay is not criminally responsible because she suffered from severe postpartum psychosis.

Jennifer Sprague & Shanan Buckingham

District Attorney Jennifer Sprague and Assistant District Attorney Shanan Buckingham are handling the courtroom proceedings on the prosecution’s side. They argued that Lindsay “deliberately and meticulously” killed her children and is responsible for their deaths. Additionally, they alleged that Lindsay “drew her husband out of the house” to run errands before strangling the kids.

Dr. Rachel Danis

Dr. Rachel Danis, 37, is Patrick Clancy’s current wife. She is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist in New York City.

Susan & Christopher Clancy

Susan Clancy is Patrick’s mother and Lindsay’s former mother-in-law. During the trial, she served as a defense witness, testifying that Lindsay had been “begging for help” with her mental health. Christopher Clancy, Patrick’s mother and Lindsay’s former father-in-law, also testified that Lindsay was a good mother.

Paula & Michael Musgrove

Paula and Michael Musgrove are Lindsay’s parents. During the trial, Paula testified that her daughter believed the medications she was taking “were destroying her mind.” Additionally, Paula said, “She told us she had thoughts of harming the children.”
