'Wicked: For Good' trailer: Flying monkeys, soaring songs and angry mobs, oh my!

Wicked: For Good is so close that we can practically feel the wind from Elphaba’s broomstick. The previous film left us with a cliffhanger as she flew away from Oz after learning about the land’s dark secrets, including animal abuse and wanting to use her powers for no-good. Now, Elphaba and Glinda’s story will continue towards a sad conclusion in Wicked: For Good, which just dropped its final trailer.

Flying monkeys, soaring songs, and a battle between two friends anchor the clip. We even see glimpses of Dorothy, Scarecrow, Toto, the Lion, and Tin Man as they make their journey through Oz. But, make no mistake, this story will continue to focus on Elphaba and Glinda as the former tries to fight for freedom and expose the Wizard.

Glinda tries to broker a truce while also dealing with her feelings. As a mob rises against the supposed “Wicked Witch,” Glinda and Elphaba must face their deep fears and re-examine their connection with each other.
