Will Smith claims he may 'venture into the political arena' in the future

From Fresh Prince of Bel-Air to President?

Well, not exactly, but maybe something close.

Will Smith stopped by Pod Save America this week, and he kept the door open to a potential run for political office:

"I think for now I'll let that [presidential] office get cleaned up a little bit," the 52-year-old said with a laugh, "and then I'll consider that at some point down the line. I don't know. I absolutely have an opinion. I'm optimistic. I'm hopeful. I believe in understanding between people. I believe in the possibility of harmony. So, I will certainly do my part, whether it remains artistic or ventures into the political arena."

Smith is firmly committed to contributing artistically, as he was on the podcast to promote Amend: The Fight for America

The Oscar nominee hosts the new Netflix six-part limited series, which evaluates "the evolving, often lethal, fight for equal rights in America through the lens of the US Constitution's 14th Amendment:
