While promoting Disney's new live-action Lilo & Stitch, which is now in theaters, Zach Galifianakis was asked about the possibility of doing another Hangover movie.
He told PEOPLE that he never wants to "shut the door," but "this town loves to keep going on things, and sometimes it's like, time to check the watch and read the room. I've only had the entertainment reporters ask me about if I'm going to do another Hangover movie."
His conclusion is "I don't think people care," adding, "I'll be honest with you, I don't think there is an audience for it. That's the way I see it."
2009's The Hangover follows Doug (Justin Bartha) and his three friends (Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Galifianakis), who traveled to Las Vegas together for a blow-out bachelor party two days before Doug's wedding. The only problem is, when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning, they don't remember anything that happened and can't find the groom.
The Hangover Part II came out in 2011, and The Hangover Part III followed in 2013.
As for Helms, he is open to doing a fourth film. "I mean, Bradley, Zach, [director] Todd [Philips] — these are some of my favorite people on the planet, so I would do anything with them. Oh my God, I would do anything with those guys," the actor shared.
However, as Cooper previously said in an interview with The New Yorker Radio Hour podcast host David Remnick, Helms agrees that "it is highly unlikely Todd would be up for it."
In that same conversation for The New Yorker Radio Hour, Cooper had expressed that he "would probably do Hangover 4 in an instant," because "I love Todd, I love Zach, I love Ed so much."
