Zayn: 'I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid'

Zayn is speaking out against allegations that he “struck” Yolanda Hadid.

The former One Direction member and solo recording artist made clear in his comments Thursday that his daughter, one-year-old Khai, is his main priority:

Yolanda Hadid is the mother of 26-year-old model Gigi Hadid, Zayn's longtime on-and-off girlfriend and mother to Khai. (Their current relationship status is unclear.)

"Yolanda Hadid claims Zayn Malik struck her last week and she's seriously considering filing a police report, sources with direct knowledge tell us," TMZ's initial report relayed. "Our sources say Yolanda says it happened at some point last week. We don't have the details of what she claims triggered the alleged assault, but we're told Yolanda stands by her account. She claims Zayn 'struck' her."

Zayn, 28, also provided a comment to TMZ: "I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private."

Gigi released a statement through her representative to E! News: "Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time."
