Here’s how DIRECTV is bringing streamers more flexibility in 2025

Starting April 13th, DIRECTV is consolidating its service offerings under one brand umbrella. This means DIRECTV STREAM will now be available under the DIRECTV brand as a streaming, device-free option. These changes will give streamers more flexibility, control, and customization over their viewing experience.

What’s new?

With the streaming industry shifting to a mix of free and paid streaming services, DIRECTV is simplifying its services. The company is streamlining its pricing and package structures while introducing additional content options, giving you a better way to watch whatever you want to watch.

Key Updates:

• Unified DIRECTV Branding: All services—whether satellite or streaming—will fall under one DIRECTV umbrella.
• New Package Structures: DIRECTV customers can choose streaming service with or without a device or satellite service with a device.
• No Annual Contracts for Streaming: You can stream with or without a device and there will be no annual contract for either option. DIRECTV’s satellite service will still have a 24-month agreement.
• Customizable Genre Packs: Streaming customers can select new Genre Packs to create their own watch experience from DIRECTV’s curated faves. Starting at just $34.99/mo.+ tax, get the TV lineup you love at a price that’s fair.⁴

• Try a Genre Pack: If you prefer specialized content, like sports, you can choose your perfect channel pack and vibe with your favorites.
• Enjoy Streaming Flexibility: With month-to-month flexibility for streaming plans, you can watch with no annual contract.
