The Boston Red Sox (14-13) take on the Cleveland Guardians (14-10) in Ohio at Progressive Field for a doubleheader on Saturday. The originally scheduled Friday night game was canceled due to rain and will now be made up as part of Saturday's doubleheader.

Surprisingly, this should be on your watch list for MLB games to watch this weekend — don't let the standings and the records fool you. The Red Sox have one of the best offenses in the 2025 MLB season, ranking 7th in runs scored with 104 and maintaining a strong .324 on-base percentage.

The Red Sox are underperforming largely due to inconsistent starting pitching and hit-or-miss performances from their bullpen. Once they figure out how to find the strike zone, the Red Sox will be a real 2025 playoff contender.
