Tonight's SoFi Play-In Tournament Memphis Grizzlies vs. Golden State Warriors matchup in San Francisco will be dynamite.
Since acquiring Jimmy Butler, the Warriors have been on fire, posting an astounding 23-8 record. Jimmy Butler, although PPG has trailed off in recent years, is a known dual-capability disruptor. He can shoot and set up plays, and his ball IQ is unmatched. And yes, he allows Steph Curry to be guarded less effectively so Curry can shoot even more from downtown.
The kicker? The Warriors play on their home turf tonight in a do-or-die game where the winner secures one of the four positions left for 2025 NBA playoffs.
Unfortunately for Memphis, they have an uphill battle ahead of them: The Grizzlies are 4-6 in their last ten and lack their former head coach, Taylor Jenkins. To top off the chaos, the Warriors just beat the Grizzlies in early April, defeating the Grizzlies 134-125, with Stephen Curry scoring an insane 52 points, which included going 12-for-20 from downtown.
The odds initially opened with Golden State as a 7.5-point favorite and have since dropped to a 6.5-point favorite. This means the Warriors are hovering as a 7-point favorite for tonight — and they will take this game.
To watch the Memphis Grizzlies vs. Golden State Warriors play-in game, you'll need access to TNT.
The game tips off on Tuesday, April 15, with Western Conference matchups airing at 10 p.m. ET on TNT. This exciting showdown is part of the NBA Play-In Tournament that will determine the final playoff seeds.
Memphis appears to have the statistical edge in this SoFi 2025 Play-In matchup. Still, the Warriors have 1) home-court advantage, 2) a 23-8 record since acquiring Jimmy Butler, and 3) are simply a better team.

Memphis Grizzlies' point scoring ability doesn't matter; the Warriors are taking this game. Honestly, we might see Golden State take it all in the NBA finals. The Warriors are, by far, one of scariest teams left playing as we head full-force into playoff season.
