Olympic diving partially originated when 19th-century gymnasts created something called “fancy diving,” and, well, that’s just charming. Today, the sport is competitive and rigorous and one of the most popular programs in the Summer Olympics. There will be eight total diving events for both men and women in Paris. If you don’t want to miss a single one, you can keep up with either the Peacock app or an NBC network. Best of all, even cord cutters can cheer on the American diving team starting at the Opening Ceremony July 26th.

Where to watch Olympic Diving

You can watch Olympic diving in Paris on Peacock, NBC, E!, or USA Network. Keep in mind that every event will not take place on every platform. Spanish-language commentary can be found on Universo and Telemundo. For the complete broadcast and livestreaming schedule, visit NBC’s Olympics website.

Watch Olympic Diving on Peacock

  • Pricing begins at $7.99/mo
  • 50+ live TV channels
  • No free trial available

Peacock is the best place to watch the Summer Olympics. The NBCUniversal streaming service has an entire hub dedicated to streaming every single Olympic event. You can watch both live events and on-demand coverage after the fact. This app must be purchased independently, but it’s very affordable and doesn’t require any long-term commitment.

After the Olympics are done, Peacock is good for watching your favorite NBC primetime dramas, comedies and reality TV. The app also has content from other NBCUniversal channels like USA and Bravo, as well as originals and a large library of classic shows and movies.

Peacock doesn’t have DVR storage, but it does carry about 50 channels that air NBCUniversal shows. If you get a Premium Plus plan, you can also get your local NBC affiliate around the clock. Other live sporting events that air on Peacock include golf, Premier League soccer and “Sunday Night Football.”

DIRECTV STREAM has four channel packages with a ton of networks. For fans of Olympic diving, the good news is that you can find NBC, USA and E! in every plan. Universo and Telemundo come with the Spanish plan. We like the Choice plan because it unlocks regional sports networks (RSNs) like Bally Sports. With this package, you’ll also have popular networks like ESPN, CBS Sports Network, Fox Sports 1 (FS1), Fox Sports 2 (FS2), NFL Network and NBA TV.

DIRECTV STREAM offers unlimited cloud DVR storage and unlimited simultaneous streams at home. You also get three simultaneous streams on devices outside your home network. Some DIRECTV STREAM plans also include premium networks like Max. Notably, you don’t need a satellite for this service like you would with regular DIRECTV.

Sling TV only offers NBC in select markets. If you can get your local NBC affiliate this could be a great, affordable way to watch Olympic diving. If you can't, it won't be your best option. We recommend the Sling Orange & Blue plan for customers who have NBC in their plan; Sling Blue has NBC, E! and USA, while Sling Orange has ESPN.

Sling Orange & Blue also carries FS1, TBS and TNT, plus a mix of other news and entertainment networks. If you need more networks, the Sports Lite add-on offers NBA TV, MLB Network, SEC Network, Tennis Channel, NHL Network, ESPNEWS and ACC Network. Sling Orange & Blue allows four simultaneous streams and 50 hours of DVR storage. You can upgrade to 200 hours with a paid extra.
