It was a memorable 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics for Amber Glenn, to say the least. The 26-year-old suffered heartbreak four years ago after she was ruled out for the 2022 Games in Beijing due to COVID-19. Glenn made sure this one counted.
Glenn made an immediate impact in her Olympic debut. She helped lead Team USA to a gold medal in the team event. The three-time United States national champion, however, faltered in the individual short program. A crucial mistake led to an 11th-place finish.
Glenn redeemed herself in the free skate with an awe-inspiring routine. She ultimately missed the podium, but she finished a very respectable fifth.
Glenn was already a star in the figure skating world even before she made the trip to Italy. However, she’s established herself as somewhat of a household name following her Winter Olympics stint.
So much so that Glenn admitted that she’s currently overwhelmed by all the support she’s received throughout the Games. The Plano, Texas, native shared an update via her Instagram stories on Tuesday.
“I typically try to see/respond to edits, fanart, videos, etc that I’m tagged in but the amount is so insane rn + I have a ton of unpacking, training & media obligations ahh it’s overwhelming in the BEST way!! thank you all so so much for the love!!” she posted.

Glenn is not complaining. In fact, she has expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of support she’s received. However, the former Grand Prix champion has also shared how busy she is right now.
Things are not going to die down for Glenn anytime soon. Up next for her is the 2026 Figure Skating Championships in Prague, Czech Republic, in March. She will need to resume training soon and will have to juggle her schedule over the next month or so.
