Ever since the start of the season, Red Bull has been constantly stuck in a tumble of controversies and rumors regarding its star driver and hierarchy. This unsettling environment eventually led to Adrian Newey ‘s exit from the team which has ramped up the speculations regarding Max Verstappen ‘s departure. Subsequently, Juan Pablo Montoya has advised the Austrian giant to hire Carlos Sainz if the Dutchman decides to leave the team.

Red Bull’s base in Milton Keynes has been under a frenzy of controversies for months. On the other hand, rumors of Max Verstappen leaving the team to join their arch-nemesis have been at an all-time high. This peculiar situation has left the Red Bull hierarchy in a tough spot to find a backup driver if the reigning champion decides to leave the team, they should have a high-caliber driver waiting to take up his spot.

Subsequently, Juan Pablo Montoya reckons that Carlos Sainz is the best bet for the Milton Keynes-based outfit.

I think Carlos[Sainz] right now would be the best option in my opinion at Red Bull, especially if we talk about Max[Verstappen] leaving. You can't have Checo[Sergio Perez] and Max leave because then you have nothing. Juan Pablo Montoya said in an interview with RacingNews365.

The Colombian stated that the Spaniard is by far the best alternative to Verstappen. Moreover, Sainz already knows the know-how about how Red Bull works due to his early stint with Toro Rosso in 2015. This makes him a suitable candidate for replacing the Dutchman if the team wants an experienced driver, who has proven himself on track in recent times.

Juan Pablo Montoya claims it would be fun to watch at Ferrari

Red Bull isn’t the only team that might face a reshuffle in their driver line-up in 2025, as Ferrari has already confirmed their lineup featuring an action-packed Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc duo. However, this could alter the team dynamics at Maranello and unsettle the peaceful environment within the team going forward.

Subsequently, Montoya claimed it would be interesting to watch how the team dynamics would play out within Maranello.

It will be interesting to see how smooth that goes with Charles and Lewis in the cars, to be honest. There’s going to be a personality clash there. It’s going to be fun to watch. Juan Pablo Montoya said.

The 48-year-old claimed due to the hunger in both of the drivers of winning a world championship. The team could face a crisis where the drivers would often find themselves tripping over each other in races. However, there is still a lot of time to go before the scarlet duo gets a revamp. On the other hand, Sainz still has 17 races left to impress the Red Bull stable and secure a future with the reigning champions after being sacked before the start of the season.
