Certainly, the F1 cost cap has made life difficult for the top teams. Even McLaren had to fire its staff previously to meet the cap. Although, the Woking-based squad subsequently hired new personnel. This is not a problem just for Red Bull or McLaren, with even Mercedes and Ferrari needing to cut down.
