Max Verstappen claims the RB20 ‘definitely improved’ after securing a crucial pole position for the Miami GP

Christian Horner dismisses speculations about key-man exit clause in Max Verstappen’s contract

As the official news of Adrian Newey’s departure from Red Bull came to light, many believed that Max Verstappen would follow suit, with the help of a key-man exit clause. However, the team principal of Red Bull, Christian Horner has dismissed all such speculations as he claimed that the former is happy with the team.

The 50-year-old while talking about his driver, had the following to add. 

Max’s contract is obviously always going to remain confidential but there’s no clauses with Adrian that link Adrian in any way to Max. They’ve enjoyed a good relationship over the years, as have our obviously previous drivers. Christian Horner via: Sky Sports

Verstappen himself has dismissed the Red Bull exit speculations in the past, claiming that he is very happy with the team. Logically, despite the ongoing unrest, Red Bull remains the most dominant team on the grid. They are able to provide Verstappen with potent challengers and hence, there are not several reasons for him to part ways with the Austrain outfit. It is worth noting that the 26-year-old is contracted to Red Bull until the end of the 2028 season.
