The F1 world has been constantly discussing Adrian Newey ‘s future after leaving Red Bull. On the other end of the spectrum, multiple drivers have worked under the same roof with design wizard and have learned a lot from the 65-year-old. One such driver has been Pierre Gasly , who recently shared his experience with the Brit in Milton Keynes when he used to drive for the Austrian giant.

Adrian Newey joined the Red Bull stable in 2006 and has been leading the aerodynamics and chassis department since then. Subsequently, former Red Bull driver Pierre Gasly gave his honest opinion about working with the Englishman in his early days at Milton Keynes.

A unique genius I'll say; extremely talented, most successful engineer in the history of our sport. Very particular approach - I still remember going to Milton Keynes and him like drawing all sorts of stuff on his board, and I thought like, is that how we draw F1 car like these days? And it's just very impressive and actually, probably my best memory from Red Bull was working with such a special individual. I had a very good relationship with Adrian[Newey]. Very humble guy and down to earth. Pierre Gasly said in an interview with motorsport.com.

The Frenchman gave an insight into how Newey worked. The 65-year-old still uses the traditional methods of sketching down his ideas before turning them into reality on the car. This impressed the Alpine driver, who subsequently revealed that working with Newey was his best memory working at Red Bull, and he has had a good relationship with him ever since.

Alex Albon is keen on getting Adrian Newey back to Williams

With the relationship between the Brit and Red Bull falling apart, multiple teams have proposed themselves as the best option for Newey to move to in 2025. Moreover, Newey and Williams were in a collaboration earlier also, but that coalition ended sooner than expected as the Englishman decided to move to McLaren in the 90s’. On the other hand, F1 experts reckoned that Newey had an unfinished job left at the English team.

It'll be interesting to see his next move. I'm sure every team is chasing him down, to try and get a hold of him, but whatever he chooses, if it's retirement or racing, I wish him all the best. And obviously, our door is always open as well! Alex Albon said.

Alex Albon reckoned that it would be interesting where Newey would end up moving amidst rumors. Moreover, he wished him well for his future and claimed that if he wanted to continue on his legacy, he could consider a return back to Williams as the English team’s doors are always open for him.

However, there is still a lot of time before confirmation of where the design legend will eventually end up. Thus, the silly season is yet to conclude and Newey’s transfer to any team would shake up the grid tremendously.
