Watch: Red Bull doublestack Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez with incredible 2-second pitstops at Chinese GP

Red Bull’s dominant performance has continued throughout the Chinese GP as the race returned after a gap of five years. Max Verstappen not only won the Sprint race but also secured the pole position for the race. Additionally, Sergio Perez also secured a front-row start at the Chinese GP. Hence, Red Bull sealed a highly impressive pit stop strategy under the safety car amidst the race.

Red Bull’s strategy has helped the team secure multiple dominating performances around multiple races. Hence, during the Chinese GP as well, Milton Keynes was spotted sticking to a difficult but successful strategy. The team committed to performing two double pitstops in the race. Both the pitstops were nearing four seconds and wasted no time of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez racing around the circuit.

The Red Bull crew was prepared for the pit and showcased a highly impressive pitstop. The crew changed the tires of Max Verstappen in just 2.1s. Immediately after this, the crew once again changed the tires of Sergio Perez in just 2.0s. Hence, the team secured a successful double pitstop in just 4.1s. As a result, the Red Bull drivers continue to secure a comfortable position in the Chinese GP currently.

Red Bull replicated the first pitstop by securing another doublestack under the safety car

Valtteri Bottas‘ engine failure at the Chinese GP caused a safety car to in order to clear the track. Hence, multiple teams and drivers pit under the safety car. Red Bull had recently pitted both their challengers for a hard compound. However, Milton Keynes decided to move ahead with a double pitstop under the safety car once again.

The second pitstop was similar to the impressive first double pit committed by the team. On the contrary, the second double pit under the safety car was even faster than the first one. Verstappen’s tires were changed in under 1.9s and Perez’s tires were changed in just 2.0s. Hence, the two drivers continued to enjoy an advantage in race strategy.

Red Bull has provided both drivers with a great strategy and pitstop. All that’s left for the two drivers is to maximize results and score amazing results at the Chinese GP. The team has proved time and again that they are highly consistent and make no errors. Hence, the duo capitalized on the impressive strategy and continued to maximize results at the Chinese GP.
