Just 48 hours after receiving a commitment from in-state star Travis Perry, the Kentucky Wildcats have received their highest-ranked commit of the 2024 recruiting class. On Tuesday, top 10 prospect, big man Jayden Quaintance announced his commitment to Kentucky.

What kind of player is Kentucky getting?

As for what kind of player Kentucky is getting. “A worker, Quaintance said. “I want to win. Doing all I can to get to the national champions for both years I’m there.”
Quaintance chose the Wildcats over Missouri, which ended up a close race to the very end. As mentioned before he will join Travis Perry, in addition to five-star guard Boogie Fland and big man Somto Cyril. With the addition of Quaintance, Kentucky’s class jumps from 6th to 2nd in the 247Sports team rankings.
Standing 6-foot-9, 230 pounds, Quaintance brings size and skill to a college-ready frame. He is a big who is great at running the floor, rebounding, and scoring at a high level. His ability to finish at the rim and create jump shots are also skills at his disposal. Even more interesting due to his age, he is required to stay in college for at least two years.
In July at Made Hoops Midwest HSA in Louisville, Quaintance told KY Insider, “I feel like I can be an NBA All-Star. I put my everything into getting better, and being the best player that I can be.”
Quaintance certainly has the tools and desire to make that happen, and Kentucky has got a great addition to its growing 2024 recruiting class.
