How well did your school do on the football field and the men's basketball court in the fall of 2024 and the first part of 2025?
Of course there are other sports that generate revenue and receive a ton of attention, but it's still football and men's hoops that drive the bus.
Did your school go to a bowl game? Did it have a winning season in both major sports? Was it great in one and blah in the other?
The criteria is relatively loose, but it's just this simple.
Which fan bases had the most fun?
Here's our basic criteria and the categories.
- Schools that had losing seasons in both football and basketball. No bowl game, no NCAA Tournament, no payoff at the end of the rainbow. Schools that were brutally awful in one of the two sports take a bigger hit.
- Bowl game but no NCAA Tournament, or the other way around. There wasn't anything big happening at the end, but at least the school hit the mark to have a post-season moment.
- Winning seasons in both sports, but nothing great. There was a bowl win, and a decent hoops season, or something positive.
- Bowl game and NCAA Tournament, Part 1. That's the goal, and they schools got there. Or, the school rocked so much in one sport that it made up for a bad year in the other.
- Bowl game and NCAA Tournament, Part 2. The schools got there and did some damage. And finally ...
- The best football and basketball schools of 2024-2025. Deep tournament runs, a big bowl win, a College Football Playoff appearance - big things happened.
