2025 Huskers football schedule set

Who’s ready for the 2025 college football season?

Yes, all of the bowl games for the 2024 season still have yet to be played but the Big Ten officially announced the 2025 slate on Wednesday.

For Nebraska, it includes another Saturday home-opener, the Huskers’ first trip to UCLA for a Big Ten showdown, and the traditional Black Friday game against Iowa.

The Scarlet and Cream’s non-conference schedule consists of home games against Cincinnati, Akron and Houston Christian.

In conference play, Nebraska will host Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, USC and Iowa while playing road games at Maryland, Minnesota, UCLA and Penn State.

While game times aren’t yet set and select Saturday games could still be adjusted, the preliminary 2025 schedule for the Big Red is below.

• Sept. 6 — vs. Akron
• Sept. 13 — vs. Houston Christian
• Sept. 20 — vs. Michigan

• Oct. 4 — vs. Michigan State
• Oct. 11 — at Maryland
• Oct. 18 — at Minnesota
• Oct. 25 — vs. Northwestern
• Nov. 1 — vs. USC
• Nov. 8 — at UCLA
• BYE
• Nov. 22 — at Penn State
• Nov. 28 — vs. Iowa

First, though, the Huskers will play in the Pinstripe Bowl — the program's first bowl game since 2016 — on Dec. 28.
