Four-star guard Darius Bivins will make his first official visit of the 2026 recruiting cycle to Texas Tech on November 7.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pound point guard is ranked No. 77 nationally in the 2026 class according to the 247Sports Composite and is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after guards in the country.

Bivins has scheduled additional visits to Houston, Stanford, South Florida, Rutgers, and VCU, showing just how wide his recruitment has stretched early in the process. His stops include programs from multiple regions and conferences, each offering different styles of play and developmental paths.

For Texas Tech, the early November date represents a chance to make a strong impression before other schools get their turn.

As a guard with size, Bivins is capable of running an offense while still posing a scoring threat from multiple levels. His court vision and ability to create off the dribble have drawn attention from high-major programs, and his defensive potential fits the mold of what Texas Tech has built its identity around in recent seasons. The Red Raiders are expected to highlight their track record of developing guards and competing in one of the nation’s most challenging leagues as key selling points.

With visits to programs like Houston, which thrives on tempo and defensive intensity, and Stanford, known for structure and discipline, Bivins will see a variety of systems before making a decision. South Florida, Rutgers, and VCU round out a list that blends national profile with proven guard production.

Landing a player of Bivins’ caliber would be a significant recruiting victory for Texas Tech as it works to sustain momentum in the Big 12. His November visit could be a pivotal step toward determining where he will eventually call home.
